December 1956.
Caston Green near medieval cross 0.6m (2 feet) from side of road at depth of 0.6m (2 feet). Road men digging narrow trench uncovered bones described as of a man and a child. These were placed in a box and re interred at same spot.
(S1) also reported the finding of potsherds. (S1) in file.
