Map

'Guildhall site 1517' written on NCM map.

2 August 1978. Visited by E. Rose (NAU).
Field under corn - no obvious irregularities or cropmarks.
E. Rose (NAU).

Source of information is (S1); however marking of this name on map, (see key) suggests it is a name recorded in 1681 not 1517. But one would not expect a guildhall to necessarily survive as such that late, and it is not marked as a standing building so the 1517 extent reference is probably correct.
E. Rose (NAU) 31 August 1984.
