Summary

Two Roman pottery kilns were discovered and excavated in 1958 during construction work at the college. The kilns were mainly producing handled flagons from about AD75 to AD100. A third kiln was excavated in 1962 by the students of the college, and more Roman pottery and kiln waste was recovered.
