Full Description
17 November 1976. Visit.
Site marked as 'Island House' by Ordnance Survey in (S1), and as 'moat' on (S2).
Destroyed 1939 to 1945 in building airfield, when perimeter track was carried right across site.
No traces remain either side of this.
E. Rose (NAU), 17 November 1976.
June 2012. Norfolk NMP.
This area was examined as part of the National Mapping Programme, but none of the available aerial photographs were of a date early enough to show the moat in existence.
E. Bales (NMP), 7th June 2012.
