Summary

A Palaeolithic flint flake and a core were recovered in the Bowthorpe area (now part of Norwich) during the early 20th century. Although the precise provenance of these finds is not known it is possibly that they were recovered from gravel deposits exposed in the vicinity of the River Yare.

These finds are listed in (S2) and noted on (S3). The flake is described in (S4) as stained and rolled. As Wymer notes in (S4), these finds were mostly likely recovered from a gravel extraction site near the River Yare.
