Map

Bank noted on (S1).

November 1978.
Short low stump east of public road. To west cut by modern house; then forms revetment, land on north being higher, about 1.75m high, with old trees growing from it. Parallels farm drive and gradually decreases in height, vanishing at farm but reappearing in overgrown state beyond it. Farmer believes it is the remains of a hollow way, the cart track (now removed) still marked as running westwards on Ordnance Survey map. It certainly predates farm (1822) and perhaps was an approach to the moated house (NHER 9410) to east.
E. Rose (NAU), 9 November 1978.
