Summary

In 1964 it was recorded that a broad shallow ditch was visible here as a band of thistles. It is probable that the feature corresponds with one of the natural drainage channels or man-made drains visible here as earthworks and vegetation marks on aerial photographs.

It is probable that the undated ditch described above corresponds with one of the natural drainage channels (perhaps marking the former course of the River Tiffey) or man-made drains visible as earthworks and vegetation marks on aerial photographs such as (S1). These are thought to be of negligible archaeological significance and have not been mapped by the NMP. Part of the ditch may be depicted on the parish Tithe Map (S2).
