Summary

This hydraulic ram is an octagonal brick tower around 3m high, with a a brick dome. It is thought that the ram pumped water to the stables of Dunston Hall.

Seen by E. Rose (NAU), 1 March 1979.

Conservation area report notes a brick dome under the ivy, and says that the ram pumped water to the stables of Dunston Hall.
