Summary

A Roman coin was found in a flower bed on the edge of the tennis court at Caistor Old Hall in 1985. Further metal-detecting and field collection in 2005 yielded a further Roman coin and Roman, medieval, and post-medieval pottery sherds.

March 2009. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of a Roman building were noted at this location and recorded on a Norwich Castle Museum map (S3) at some time prior to 1974.
These are now recorded under NHER 52271. A programme of aerial investigation undertaken in 2009 examined this area, but the results were inconclusive. See NHER 52271 for further details.
