Cropmark in Friston or Frozen Field northeast of Old Gravel Pit.

Eight Roman coins, from Claudius II to House of Valentian (see list in file).

Medieval copper alloy strap end buckle.

Roman Dolphin type brooch 1st century AD. Spring missing, catch plate intact.

For cropmarks recorded within this area see NHER 52259, for boundaries and enclosures of either Roman or medieval to post medieval date predating current field layout, and NHER 52260 fragmentary field boundaries, ditches and trackways of at least two phases of fields, probable later prehistoric to Roman date. It is not clear which of these sites, if any, the previously recorded cropmarks relate to.
