Map

1977. Visited.
Pond, with parish boundary bending round it; perhaps remnant of a moat.
The farmer at Avenue Farm says this is a clay pit whence the bricks for the farm were dug 'two hundred years ago'. It is now dry and to be filled in. The house is about 200 years old.
E. Rose (NAU), 26 October 1977.
