Full Description
January 1960.
Finds made in removing concrete floor of brick building erected about 1946.
Wainford Maltings. About 7m (8yds) on east side of Wainford Road.
Four human skulls revealed 45-60cm (18-24in) below foundations.
Lowest skull contained white Plaster of Paris.
Site inspected at once by [1] who retained the skulls for lecturing purposes.
One Iron Age/Roman, one medieval, one 18th century, one Arab.
Remains of a local antiquary's collection.
