Summary

In October 1958 a group of wooden piles were found when foundations for an electricity pylon were being dug. The piles were probably part of a brushwood causeway crossing marshland. They may have been Bronze Age in date.

October 1958.
In digging foundations for tower 42 for electric power line, pointed stakes were found, probably remains of brushwood causeway across marsh. Peat occurred at from 2.4-3m (8-10ft) below surface. Possibly Bronze Age.
