Summary

In 1974 an incomplete Early Saxon cruciform brooch was found by chance at this location. Subsequent metal-detecting between 2023 and 2024 recovered Roman and medieval coins and a number of additional metal objects, including a Roman brooch; an Early Saxon brooch and discoidal harness mount; a medieval buckle, brooch, key and horse-harness pendant; a medieval/post-medieval copper alloy ring and a post-medieval buckle.
