Summary

A timber framed house, which probably dates back to the 16th century. The house has a 17th century brick façade with a gabled porch, and a crosswing. The house is shown on an early 17th century map.

May 1985. Listed, Grade II.
Listed as Sparrow Green Farmhouse.
L shaped timber framed building with some reused timbers (from moated site NHER 7292?).
Early 17th century with interesting timber frame, king studs, shaped beams etc.
Contemporary brick porch and crosswing stack gable.
Facade remade in about 1800, other brick cladding about 1900.

(S1) dates the house to the late 16th century, with a brick façade from the 17th century. The house is shown on (S3), where it does not a crosswing.
