Full Description
April 1979. Wickhampton, Church Farm, by river.
Spread of medieval and Roman pot in northeast part of field. Seen under very poor light and soil conditions after ploughman donated Roman greyware pedestal base. Limits not established. Thirty three medieval and thirteen Roman and four possible Roman sherds.
A. Rogerson (NAU).
7 August 1980. NAU air photographs.
Unit air photographs show a mark here, probably natural (compare marks to southwest) but of interestingly rectangular shape. Could be a building platform.
E. Rose (NAU), 21 June 1982.
