Summary

The site of a brickworks from the 19th century, later converted into the pleasure garden of a 19th century house. The garden included a brick tunnel for visitors to walk through in candlelight, and the remains of an airship from World War One.

Remains of brickworks with contemporary buildings, 19th century. Later converted into pleasure gardens with various objects including airship and field guns, and a brick tunnel.

The tunnel (between two old brick pits)at the 'Garden of Eden' at Hunts Corner is still accessible and provides a permanent exposure of the local brick earth which was quarried at the site.
Such exposures are now very rare (S6).
