Full Description
6/7 November 1943.
Crash site of Dornier 217 U5+ GT Werk Nr 4509. Brought down by anti aircraft fire on approach to bomb Norwich. Wreckage set fire to adjacent barn. One survivor from crew of three. Last Dornier 217 to be shot down in East Anglia.
October 1978.
Site excavated by Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum with 'limited results'.
