Summary

This was the site of a small common edge settlement during the medieval period. A house is recorded on the site in a document dating to about 1550, which was owned by a man named Thomas Toly, who was hung in Norwich in 1555 or 1556. Field walking has recovered prehistoric flints, pieces of lava querns of unknown date, and fragments of pottery dating from the Late Saxon to the post medieval periods.

This site is recorded as Med 15 in (S2). The site is recorded as having an empty messuage and a croft in about 1550, when it was held by a man named Thomas Toly, who was hung in Norwich in 1555/6.
