Full Description
Pre 1985.
Details of finding unknown, in field at above grid ref.
Broken flint chisel, square section and polished; not very common type, probably late Neolithic.
Skillful flaking has produced a square section, itself unusual and typical of Scandinavian flintwork, but flint itself does not look Scandinavian.
Identified J. J. Wymer (NAU)
E. Rose (NAU) from notes by A. Gregory (NAU) 12 February 1985
