Summary
This is the site of a Late Saxon settlement, which was occupied in the 11th century, and continued to be occupied during the medieval period. The 19th century buildings which stood on this site have been demolished. Field walking recovered pottery dating from the Late Saxon to the post medieval periods.

Full Description
March and April 1985. Field walking. Field Ordnance Survey Great Fransham 263. Good conditions.
19th century buildings demolished but 2 large modern buildings remain.
Thetford/Early medieval fabric sherds.
Medieval sherds, late medieval/early post medieval and glazed red earthenware.
