Summary

This 16th century timber framed house was extended to the west in the 17th century and the second floor was added in the early 18th century. Other alterations were made in the 19th century including replacement of some of the windows. The house is thought to have been a pub at one time.

Timber framed house. West end stripped in 1987 revealing 17th century timber frame, with suggestions that eastern end may be older. Inserted upper floor about 1700 and wattle and daub stacks.

June 1981. Listed, Grade II.
Listing Description:
Probably 17th century. Timber-frame house, roughcast. Thatched roof with gabled ends. One storey and attic. Modern casements and one small wedge-shaped dormer. Brick chimney stack off centre and at end. Modern porch.
