Map

Barrow.
West side Peddars Way by spot height 301.7 (highest barrow elevation in county).
Low mound 15m (paces) diameter and 76cm (2 1/2 ft) high.
Depression approximately in centre.
A. Q. Watson 10 December 1935

See (S1), then covered in nettles.

1955.
Under plough, height much reduced.
Sherd of Middle Bronze Age pottery found.
R. R. Clarke (NCM) 30 January 1955.

24m diameter, 20cm high, cut by road on northeast barely visible in fallow field.
Possibly a mound of similar dimension to south though this could be merely undulation in field.
A. J. Lawson (NAU) 16 March 1976.

Field under crop, mound invisible.
E. Rose (NAU) 24 June 1982.

August 1983.
Site completely obliterated except for slight rise in roadside bank.
J. Wymer (NAU)

It is not surprising that the mound is invisible as the barrow was destroyed by the No.4 North Sea Gas Main, as shown on the 1973 vertical OS air photograph, (S1). What Lawson saw must have been one of the natural undulations in the field according to H. Bamford (HBMC).
E. Rose (NLA) 16 June 1994.

August 1995. Descehduled.
Information from (S3).
H. Mellor (HES), 3 July 2018.
