Full Description
1965. Found on surface of field.
Iron working/smelting site discovered. 3rd century AD pottery, fragments of roofing tile, puddingstone quern.
(S1).
Area of smelting debris measured 15m by 7.5m (50 by 25 feet). Including briquetage, bloom, colour coated ware.
(S2).
1986. Metal detecting.
Iron Age sword pommel (S3), Roman coins and metalwork, Iron Age and Roman sherds.
