Found under road kerb line, during construction of new bus layby:
1 Palaeolithic flint handaxe. Donated to Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1973.310).

This object was initially identified as Neolithic (and is still recorded as such in the museum's records) but was subsequently recognised as a Palaeolithic handaxe. It is was reported as a handaxe in (S2).
This object is also noted on (S3) and in (S4) and (S5), although no additional information is given. It appears that this object was not seen by Wymer when he examined the NCM's collections during the late 1970s.
