Map

Drainage mill known as Neave's Mill, Keable Mill or Carman's Mill. Name from (S1). Tall, red brick tower; new aluminium boat shape cap fitted by Windmills Trust after original disintegrated. (S2) shows the former cap. Two periods of mechanical pumphouses by side - one 'gothicky' corrugated iron, one modern! Note this information is correct, but confusion has been caused by Ordnance Survey not marking this on (S3) - so (S2) has also put in wrong place.
E. Rose (NAU), 1 September 1983.

(S4) describes as built around 1870; called Neave's Mill, as river reach name by (S1). Cast iron fanstage sheers, brakewheel and windshaft. Wallower and timber upright shaft. Crownwheel, worm, worm hangars and shot curb rack.
E. Rose (NAU), 31 October 1986.

6 July 1994. NLA air photography.
Mill/wind pump intact and visible.
M. Brennand (NLA), 13 March 2001.
