Full Description
Now largely ruinous, and standing on top of a hill, in an isolated position from the village.
Largely 15th century Perpendicular, with some dubious evidence of older work, for example ironbound conglomerate in the walls suggests the presence of a Saxon or Norman building, although no early work is visible.
No furnishings now remain.
Domed brick cistern in churchyard.
See (S1), (S2), (S3) and (S4).
E. Rose, 12 November 1990.
9 April 2008. Casual finds on bare soil surface of churchyard south of church:
3 sherds of medieal unglazed pottery including rim of an Early Medieval ginger jar (weighing 12g).
A. Rogerson (NLA), 13 May 2008.
