1960. Stray Find.
Found while ploughing at Woodgate Farm, on south side of road:
Neolithic polished flint axehead.
This find was reported in local press articles (S1) and (S2), being pictured in the latter along with a Neolithic part-polished axehead that had been found nearby the previous year (recorded as NHER 7391). The discovery is also noted in (S3) and amongst those listed in (S4).
The axehead itself was donated to Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1960.151).
