Summary

Two Roman burials were uncovered in a field opposite the west side of Venta Icenorum Roman town (NHER 97865) in 1821. A brooch was found with the bodies.

Found in a field in opposite west front of Caistor camp.
Two bodies, called Roman soldiers, with teeth and metal brooch in excellent preservation.

An identical entry is given in (S2) but under the date 29 January 1821 saying the bodies were 'lately' dug up, rather
than (S1)s date of 10 February. What is the reason for this?
