Summary

An 18th century garden building, which stood at the end of an avenue in Docking Park (NHER 30502). The Temple is shown on a mid 18th century estate map. Earthworks mapped in the vicinity as part of NHER 69437 could relate to this former structure. They are visible on visualised lidar data from a survey flown in 2018, and are likely to still survive.

Earthworks of banks and ditches are visible on visualised lidar data (S3) in the vicinity of the post medieval garden temple described above. These earthworks are recorded as part of a larger group of predominantly pre-park earthworks (NHER 69437) within Docking Park but the elements at this location could relate to the former garden structure. As the lidar survey was flown relatively recently, it is likely that the earthworks still survive.
