Summary

Two World War Two spigot mortar pedestals are located in the sand dunes. These are probably also recorded as part of NHER 41429.

May to November 2004. Norfolk Rapid Coastal Survey.
These are probably two of the four two spigot mortar bases recorded as NHER 41429 (which is located 40m to the east of). It is thought that the location of NHER 17148 was estimated using a map. As it is very hard to locate features in sand dunes without the use of electrical surveying equipment, the location recorded for NHER 17148 is probably incorrect.
