Summary

An excavation within the shop at 19 New Conduit Street in 1997 revealed the remains of 18th and 19th century brick and mortar walls and yard or floor surfaces. It is considered likely that medieval structures may remain beneath these post-medieval features.

Evaluation of proposed Vancouver Centre redevelopment site (Trench 7 - hole dug in shop floor at 19 New Conduit Street).
Two distinct 18th/19th century brick and mortar walls with associated floor or yard surfaces. The excavators considered it likely that at this location medieval structures survive beneath these post-medieval deposits.
