Map

May 1978. Visit.
Hall and moat (Ordnance Survey antiquity).
Noted in (S1) as 17th century. Date seems correct for exterior at least. Brick porch tower on south; large square central chimney; 19th century. Gothick north porch; modern extentions on east. The building is not of great architectural importance. The 'moat' (now being infilled) gives the impression of being more than a boundary feature. (S2) notes a free chapel here.
Grade III listed.
E. Rose (NAU), 24 May 1978.
