Summary

Roman pottery sherds, tile fragments and the upper stone from a quern; Roman and medieval coins and Roman and medieval to post-medieval metal objects were recovered as stray finds and through metal-detecting. The metal finds include a Roman brooch; a medieval ring brooch, buckle and hasp; a medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel fragment and a post-medieval silver hilt plate, finger ring and hilt band from a whittle tang knife.

Full Description

1975. On ploughed surface. [1 and 2].
Upper stone of quern, slightly domed bun-shaped type.
Also tile fragments and Roman sherds, weathered.

13th century copper alloy buckle.
Medieval hasp.
