OS card states that immediately to north a grocers shop and a late Georgian house contain 12th century work from the church.

Visited E. Rose (NAU) 1 February 1979.
Shop now converted to house 'St Edmunds Hall' with garage where shopfront was; building is of flint trimmed with 19th century brick. It forms one long row with the brick 'late Georgian' (about 1820) house 'St Edmunds'.
No evidence of old work on south façade.

Revisted 25 October 1984.
Owner of 'Old Crabbe Hall' (site NHER 20874) told E. Rose (NAU) that when her son, an architect, had converted St Edmunds Hall there was a 'Norman arch' that he had not been allowed to touch.
But when owners of latter house showed arch it transpired to be a modern opening between two rooms with no trace of old work.
