Summary
This is the site of a possible Neolithic flint mine, first discovered in the late 19th century. A large amount of Neolithic flint flakes and a fabricator have been found on the site.

Full Description
Possible Cissbury Pit is situated immediately south of the lower corner of the curved boundary southeast of the tumulus (site NHER 2301).
Flakes and a fabricator were found in the pit by A. Q. Watson.
