Summary

In 1936 Roman pottery and iron slag was collected from rabbit burrows at this location. It is possible that Iron Age pottery had also been found. Subsequent metal-detecting between 1999 and 2025 recorded Late Iron Age and Roman pottery sherds; medieval ceramic roof tile fragments; Roman coins and a number of other metal objects, including Roman brooches and a post-medieval buckle and King's Lynn weight.
