Summary

A Roman brick floor, fragments of a pewter vessel, three inhumation burials and Roman pottery were excavated here in 1958 and 1960. This is the site of a Roman building. With the inhumation burials the fragmentary remains of a child's skeleton were recorded. The date of these burials is unclear. They may be Iron Age, Roman or Saxon. Fieldwalking as part of the Fenland Survey also recovered Roman pottery, tile, oyster shells and bone.
