Full Description
January 1981. Field Observation.
The Hall is a long brick building of 2 storeys, with bow windows each side of the central doorway on the east façade and corner pilasters. Externally it is of late 18th century style, though possible traces of blocked windows may suggest an older core.
E. Rose (NAU) 22 January 1981.
Beck Hall and Barn.
The Hall is described as the former Holkham Estate farmhouse, late 18th century with an earlier core, surrounded
by a moat and believed to be the site of a medieval hospice [NHER 51208].
The barn is described as an 18th century brick building with side additions of 1860 and 1879. It has 18 bays with continuous out-shut beneath a catslide roof to south side and a queen post roof structure. It now houses grain silos and was listed for group value.
