NHER 58793 (Monument record) - Possible Early Saxon cemetery or production site

The wealth of finds evidence from this area includes three early Saxon models for making brooches as well as eight completed brooches, six wristclasps, a scabbard chape, tweezers and a gusset plate. Overall this suggests the presence of an early Saxon cemetery or production site.

Additional brooches and other Saxon objects are also recorded to the south, in NHER 30351, NHER 31330, and NHER 41983, and further southeast at NHER 35174.
The extent of this record has been amended based on examination of the existing records, but more detailed research is still required.
